Wernley Bowling Club is a well-established Crown Green bowling club situated behind the local public house.

Both the public house and bowling green date back to the mid-1930s, with the public house opening first and the green following shortly after. Today, the green remains one of the largest in the area. The club has a rich and proud history, much of which is showcased within the pavilion through its collection of merit boards.

We have a strong and active membership and take great pride in providing a friendly, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all. The club offers both social and league bowling from March through to September, catering for players of all abilities — from beginners to experienced bowlers. While most of our league fixtures are local, there are occasional opportunities to travel further afield.

In addition to bowling, we are continuing to develop our social programme. Following the success of recent events such as our quiz night, we look forward to introducing further social activities in the near future.
